Sunday: HM Threshold

Plan was to hold 1:55.  Stuck to the plan.

I should have looked at my all time PB.  Turns out I finished 7 seconds behind it.  If I had known, I could have definitely made up that time just by doing a quick warmup and starting at pace instead of pulling the pace down over the first 1000.

But I am really thrilled with the progress I am making right now.  I ranked it, and right now it’s 10th of 254 in my bracket.

HM PB attempts are rare but I guess you have to redo this one. 🙂
So you are now moving block and doing lots of threshold rows, or is my impression wrong?
Is the progress a result of your training plan or are you taking the dividends from the OTW work you have done? I guess it’s a combination of both.

Greg, would you mind sharing the device and software you use to get these charts? Couldn’t find the specifics under either “software tools” or “equipment” tags. Is this doing some automatic excel charting of raw data from PM5 in some format?

The only post under software tools explains how I generate the graphs. I use commercially available software called RowPro that connects my concept2 model D to a PC and saves all the stroke data for the row. I wear a HR monitor chest strap (polar H7) which connects to the concept2 PM3 and the HR data is saved to RowPro as well.

That can be exported from RowPro as an excel “CSV” file. A very nice guy created an excel template to make the graphs, a link to the tool is in that post. Then I just screen grab the graphs and upload them to WordPress.

I have created variations of the spreadsheet to work with the wahoo fitness app, my speedcoach XL, Crewnerd and the Rowing In Motion app.

Ugh sorry, poor reading comprehension! During all these years involved in rowing I had never heard of RowPro and the contents of the post didn’t really register as something relevant.
